A still image brought to life in After Effects. Working from the photographer’s original project file, I introduced motion and depth using puppet pins and a 3D camera. Shared as a collaboration with @noojnet and @lovemeize.

To animate the model, I used the puppet tool and placed a pin at each joint. After, I keyframed them to another pose.

To build the scene in 3D, I separated and positioned each asset in depth, recreating the floor to function within a 3D space. A camera, controlled via a null layer, was then used to move through the scene.

To give the fur on the hat movement. I duplicated the model, masked out the fur and added a small turbulent displace effect.
